01Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and EventHall (RC 3144143, Nigeria), governing your access to and use of eventhall.com.ng and related services (the "Platform"). By creating an account, submitting a listing, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.

02Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or list a business.
• You must provide accurate, current information when registering, and keep it up to date.
• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
• You may sign up directly with an email and password, or via Google or Facebook sign-in. Your use of those providers is subject to their own terms.
• One account per business, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

03Business listings

If you list a business on EventHall, you confirm that:

• The business is real, legitimate, and legally permitted to offer the services described
• All information submitted — business name, category, location, description, services, pricing, and contact details — is accurate and not misleading
• You have the right to submit any logo, photos, portfolio images, and video you upload, and that they don't infringe anyone else's rights
• You'll keep your listing reasonably up to date, including years in business, services offered, and pricing

New listings are typically reviewed and made live within 24 hours. We may decline, edit, suspend, or remove a listing at our discretion — for example, if it's inaccurate, incomplete, impersonates another business, or otherwise breaches these Terms.

04Verification and badges

A "Verified" badge means EventHall has reviewed the submitted business details and found no obvious red flags at the time of review. It is not a guarantee of a business's quality, reliability, licensing, or financial standing, and EventHall does not endorse any listed business. Clients should do their own due diligence before booking any professional found through the Platform.

05Your content and license to us

"Your Content" means anything you upload or submit — text, photos, logos, portfolio images, videos, reviews, and messages. You retain ownership of Your Content. By submitting it, you grant EventHall a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content on the Platform and in related promotional material (such as featuring your listing in search results or category pages), for as long as your listing or account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward as described in our Privacy Policy.

You're responsible for Your Content. Don't upload anything you don't have the rights to, or that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringing.

06Plans, fees, and payment

• EventHall offers a free listing plan and one or more paid plans with additional features (such as featured placement, profile analytics, or profile video). Current plan features and pricing are shown on our Pricing page.
• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly or annually) unless stated otherwise at checkout, and are processed by a third-party payment provider.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at the time of purchase.
• We may change plan pricing or features going forward; we'll give notice before a change affects your current billing cycle.
• If a payment fails or a subscription lapses, we may downgrade your listing to the free plan and remove plan-specific features (e.g., a profile video).

07Acceptable use

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent business information or reviews
• Impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation with one
• Upload content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Platform without our written permission
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its systems
• Use contact details obtained through the Platform to send unsolicited spam or unrelated marketing
• Circumvent any fee, plan limit, or verification process

08Our role between clients and professionals

EventHall is a directory and discovery platform. We are not a party to, and do not guarantee, mediate, or insure, any booking, contract, or payment arrangement made between a client and a listed business. Any agreement for services — pricing, deliverables, deposits, cancellations — is strictly between the client and the professional. Disputes about the quality, delivery, or payment for services should be resolved directly between those parties.

09Reviews and ratings

Reviews should reflect genuine experiences with a listed business. We may remove reviews that are fake, abusive, off-topic, or that violate these Terms, but we're not obligated to monitor every review before it's published, and we don't guarantee the accuracy of any review.

10Intellectual property

The EventHall name, logo, and the Platform's design, code, and compiled directory (excluding Your Content) are owned by EventHall or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from the Platform except as necessary to use it as intended.

11Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time; see our data deletion page for how. We may suspend or terminate your account or listing, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you've breached these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful conduct, or if required by law. On termination, your right to use the Platform ends immediately, though certain sections of these Terms (e.g., limitation of liability, indemnification) survive.

12Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We don't warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing, review, or user-submitted content.

13Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EventHall and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform or any transaction with a listed business. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.

14Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold EventHall harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, unless we agree in writing to another dispute resolution method.

16Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the revised version here with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
